MAC Cosmetics Vamplify Lip Gloss Review + Swatches!

I know it has been a long time since I posted here, but I haven't really had that much to share with y'all. As you may or may not know, I have a YouTube beauty channel, Misshannahgoodman, and I post videos there every Monday & Friday, in case you wanna keep up with everything I'm doing. ANYWAYS. On to the point of this post: I got one of the MAC Vamplify lip glosses!

The lip gloss I got is in the shade "Tuned In", which is now sold out, unfortunately. :(
I got this particular shade because, for one, I've been obsessed with pinky nudes lately and I wanted to try out this new formula in a shade I knew I'd wear if I liked the formula...And I DO love the formula.

As you can see, the applicator is a bit different than the normal lip glass applicator, but I much prefer this one. The slant of it makes it easier to apply the product more precisely and it gives a nice clean look. This product is EXTREMELY pigmented. It's basically a liquid lipstick..because you literally need one coat on your lips and you're good. I have hand and lip swatches below.

Basically, I'm in love with this product and overall formula and I wish it was a part of the permanent MAC collection. I'm definitely going to be buying one or more other colors. I'll leave links below.

Brija Cosmetics Haul + Swatches + Review!

Hey everyone! Wow, it has been an incredibly long time since I have posted something here. Sorry about that. I don't know if any of you check my blog regularly (I kinda doubt it), but if so I sincerely apologize for the lack of content. Today, however, I bring you a brand new post! And it's all about an indie cosmetics brand that I've been eager to try out. The thing that really pushed me to purchase some of Brija's products was the release of the 90's Nickelodeon collection, which is where all these shadows are from. So...let's get started. I will forewarn you that I have already pressed the pigments that I received, so..be aware.

We'll start off with the products I received.

"Nigel's Adventure Vest"

I will go ahead and say that Brija Cosmetics promises nearly 1/4 of a teaspoon in each sample baggy. In a couple of these samples, I did not even receive 1/8 of a teaspoon. Unfortunately, the sample sizes are very inconsistent. That's honestly the only real downside to this company. The pigmentation is phenomenal, but the inconsistency is honestly not worth it for samples. Especially since they're $1.45 per sample baggy. Just pick a color you like and buy the full size. Don't waste your time on the samples. Because I didn't receive enough product to press a few of these, I didn't bother including swatches for those.

"Legends"

This was one of my free samples with my purchase. I was surprisingly pleased with the amount of product for an extra sample.

"Alone in the World"

Unfortunately, I didn't receive enough product to accurately swatch and review this shadow.

"Angry B"

Once again, not enough product.

"Woogity Woogity Woogity"

This is definitely my favorite eye shadow I received. It's so gorgeous and unique, the photo really does not do it justice. I highly recommend this shadow and I will probably end up purchasing the full size of it.

"Not a Kilt"

Once again, the photos do not do this shade justice. It is so gorgeous in person and I really do recommend it.

"The Girls' Room"

It's kind of hard to see this shadow in the swatch photo, but it's a very pale pink color. I really like it and think it will pair nicely with "Woogity Woogity Woogity". I'm really excited to use it.

"Sass Queen"

This is a really unique purple color and I really appreciate that. I have many purple eye shadows and I can definitely say that I do not have another one like this. This is definitely a must-have for someone who loves purple eye shadows.

Overall I really do enjoy these shadows, despite not having enough of some of them. I may repurchase from this company in the future, but I definitely will not be purchasing the sample baggies again. Thanks so much for reading my blog & I hope this post was helpful!

My Current Makeup Storage!

Hello everyone! Today I'm gonna be talking about how I'm now storing my eye shadows. I've been constantly searching for better ways to save space and have all of my eye shadows visible, and I finally found the solution: empty magnetic palettes.

I am really obsessed with organizing my makeup and these empty magnetic palettes just make it SO easy. I'm currently using two large Z-Palettes and a palette I bought from an etsy shop. I prefer the Z-Palettes, to be honest.

Let's start off with the Etsy palette. I'm gonna leave a link at the end of this post in case you wanna buy one for yourself; the designs are super cute. So this palette is currently kinda just temporary storage for those eye shadows, but I think I'm going to leave the blushes and highlight in it. The eye shadows that I have in it are Shiro Cosmetics pigments that I've pressed and will be putting into another Z-Palette (which is coming in the mail soon) specifically dedicated to pressed pigments because I'm about to press a lot of them.

Next, we'll take a look at my colorful shadow palette. This is, of course, a large Z-Palette and it is dedicated to all of my colorful eye shadows (with the exception of some neutrals..just so I don't have to reach for another palette). In here I have my Urban Decay Electric Palette, Urban Decay Ammo Palette, some Sugarpill eye shadows, a MAC pressed pigment, and five other Shiro Cosmetics pigments I pressed. I reach for this palette all the time because it just houses all of my most beautiful colors.

Finally, we have my neutrals palette. This palette has every neutral shade I could possibly need. It has my Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, as well as both the Lorac Pro Palette & the Lorac Pro Palette 2. I was originally storing these in my Etsy palette, but two of the Naked 2 shades couldn't fit so I decided to place them all in here. Plus I can add more shadows to this palette if I need to.

Overall, I have to say that the Z-Palettes are life savers. I was skeptical of them at first; their clear window on top worried me (I was worried that it would be easily bent down). However, these are my absolute favorite things now and I cannot stop ordering them! They come in so many cute colors and patterns, I just can't resist them. Thank you so much for reading this post and I hope it helped you or was at least fun to read. See you next time. ♥

February Favorites 2015!

I don't have that many favorites this month, but I decided to share the ones that I do have because I absolutely love them.

My first favorite is my Mac double sided palette. I want to go ahead and point out that this palette is kinda tricky to work with, but it's kinda worth it to have all of my shadows in one place. Some of the shadows do tend to fly off the magnetic sheet if you open or close the palette too roughly/quickly. The magnets that shut this palette are so strong that if you aren't careful, it will snap closed very quickly and cause some of the shadows to come unmagnetized. Truthfully, I probably won't be using this palette for my shadows for long because I have two more empty palettes coming in the mail soon; I believe those will be better for storing shadows because they aren't double sided.

My second favorite is really exciting for me because I'm finally building my own Mac palette. I've always wanted a 15-pan Mac palette with the insert and I'm actually doing it. This palette is exclusively for my Mac standard sized eye shadows and, as you can see, I still have room for five more. I plan to fill those spaces over time. I mentioned this palette in closer detail in my previous post, so if you're interested in the shadows I have in there now, check out that post. I have added three new shadows since then though, which are "Satellite Dreams" (1st row, 5th column), "Skin Tone 1" (2nd row, 3rd column), & "Showstopper" (2nd row, 4th column).

This primer is life! I have been trying so hard to find a primer that will actually keep my eye shadow on all day and this actually does! I have super oily eyelids and this stuff keeps my shadow on all day long without creasing! I love it.

I've really been loving this Victoria's Secret lotion and body mist too! I use them together, for the most part, but they're obviously great by themselves as well. I picked them up a while ago during the Semi-Annual sale and they were really really cheap. I'm so glad I got them!

My next favorite is snow!! There has been a lot of snow in Louisiana during the past week and I have been absolutely loving it! We never get snow, so this is a pretty rare thing. I'm one happy girl!

And finally, I been loving these super rad Pikachu pajama pants that I ordered from Hot Topic! They're the perfect size and they are super soft & cute. I was worried that they wouldn't fit right because they're men's pajama pants, but they fit absolutely perfect when I got them. 10/10, I LOVE these. ♥

Once again, thank you so much for reading my blog post and have an awesome March!

Huge Mac Haul + Swatches! First Post of 2015!

Hey everyone! It has been absolutely forever since I last posted. I've been so busy with school and everything has just been really hectic, plus I haven't had anything really exciting to post, so I decided to hold off until I actually have something cool to show you guys. So here we are, a Mac haul in mid-February. Basically, I finally decided to break down and start building my own Mac palette. I've been wanting to do that for a while but I always talked myself out of it because it can be pretty expensive if you try to fill it up all at once. Let's get started.

So this is the very first thing I saw when I opened my box. As you can see, there are some eyeshadow refill pans on the top as well as a pressed pigment, while the palette itself and the insert are beneath them.

This is the pressed pigment I got and it's in "Amethyst". It's an absolutely gorgeous, sparkly pinkish purple. I swatched it in the Mac store near me and I fell in love instantly.

The first shadow I picked up was "Aquadesiac", which is a vibrant, beautiful blue. I don't normally go for bright blue shadows but I fell in love with this when I swatched it.

"Creme de Violet" is another color I got. I heard mixed reviews on this eyeshadow online. Some people said that it was hard to blend, although very pretty, and others said that it blended like a dream. Overall, I decided to give it a try because it was just too pretty to pass up.

I honestly did not plan on buying this eyeshadow before I went to the Mac store in the mall near me. This is "Vibrant Grape" and it is the perfect purple color. Online it looks much darker than it truly is and I am so glad that the Mac employee in the store swatched it for me while I was there. It's so so gorgeous and I am so excited to use it. (If you can't tell, I'm a little obsessed with purple shadows right now...) Also, this shadow reminds me of one of the eyeshadows in the Lorac AfterGlo palette that was released this summer..although this shadow is much more pigmented and takes less time to build up good coverage.

This is "Fig. 1" and it's a very nice dark purple, very smooth matte shade. It looks like the perfect crease color for a purple eye look. Once again, I didn't plan on buying this until I swatched it in person. It's just so smooth and so pretty..I couldn't pass it up.

And here we have - you guessed it - another purple. This is "Parfait Amour" and it is such a pretty light purple. I'm really excited to start incorporating more purples into my eyeshadow looks this year. Gosh. It's so pretty.

Aaaaand the final shade I ordered is "Plumage". It's a very very dark blue color and I'll probably use this alone when I wear it. I'll likely just pack it on the lid for a really dark, intense look..and maybe I'll blend a black shadow in the crease or something. I'm not sure yet, I just know that this is gorgeous.

This is my palette so far. I still have 8 spaces left, but I'm sure I'll be able to fill them in no time at all. Also, you may notice that I have an eyeshadow in the palette that wasn't shown here and that is "Soba". I've had it for a while and I decided to try my hand at depotting once I got my palette in the mail, and it turned out really well. I usually use "Soba" for my eyebrows when I don't feel like using my eyebrow pencil and it gives me a more natural look. I have swatched it below.

Thank you so much for reading this post and I hope I was helpful for anyone thinking about getting some of these shadows! Until next time, stay lovely. ♥

What I Got For Christmas 2014!

Hey you guys! Wow, it has been a while since I posted. Basically, I just wanted to wait until after Christmas to post again because..well...I knew I'd have nothing interesting to post before Christmas. So here it is, what I got for Christmas. I realize I'm like the last person on the planet to post this, but whatever.

So first off, here's a picture of most of my gifts all together. I have others not pictured, but that's because they were not available at the time. I will add pictures of the other items, but I will insert a stock photo of my new purse because it's currently in my car and I cannot take a picture of it at the moment. I will also be inserting stock photos of the DVDs I received because I already put away the cases and stored the DVDs in my collection.

Some of the most exciting gifts I received were, of course, the Lorac Pro Palette & The Lorac Pro Palette 2. I am absolutely in love with both of these palettes. I took advantage of the Cyber Monday deal when I bought these for Christmas and it was such a good decision. I love all of the shades in these palettes and I know I'll get lots of use out of them.

Moving on to t-shirts I got, two of them are from BustedTees and the MIW shirt is from MerchNow. I love all of these shirts and I cannot wait to wear them, especially the Eeveelution one.

In keeping with the clothing theme, here are the sweatshirts and hoodie I received! I received the Front Porch Step & Elf sweatshirts from my parents and my grandma gave me the Nikita hoodie, which I am kind of obsessed with. I'm obsessed with all of these clothing items. Love them.

The other gift I received from my grandma is this adorable heart shaped ring with my birthstone inside. I absolutely love birthstone rings and my birthstone is absolutely perfect, in my humble opinion. I will always be obsessed with rubies.

This pair of Doc Martens may be my favorite thing I got for Christmas. They are so comfortable and cute and just I love them so much. They honestly didn't take long to break in at all. I heard horror stories of people's feet bleeding while they broke them in and taking months to break them in, but honestly it only took a couple of weeks for me to break mine in. I love love LOVE these so much. I got them at Journeys and they are just the black patent leather ones, not sure of the style.

I got this HUGE Betsey Johnson tote as well. It is gigantic and I love it. Betsey Johnson purses are my absolute favorites. They are so cute and perfect and I just love them. I haven't had a purse I can actually carry on my should in forever, so this one is just phenomenal for me. I love it. It's so adorable..just..the floral print does it for me. It's so spacious and perfect and I can fit my life in it, which is always what I want.

I got three DVD sets as well, because I am absolutely obsessed with collecting movies and TV shows. I am determined to have the best DVD collection ever and I think I'm doing a pretty great job. I love Austin Powers so much and Match Game is my favorite game show ever, so those are perfect sets for me. Every movie in the comedy collection is fantastic and I adore them, aside from Grumpy Old Men. I never liked that movie. So I gave it to my dad.

My final gifts were a couple of pairs of jeans from American Eagle and I don't feel it necessary to individually photograph them because they're simple skinny jeans. All in all, I am extremely happy with this Christmas and I hope that all of you have had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season if you don't celebrate Christmas, or even if you do. If you didn't have such a great holiday season, just remember that it's okay and everything will get better eventually. You are loved and important and money isn't everything. Have a great day, lovelies. ♥
